RC Magazines

There are magazines for the RC hobbyist, too. Here are websites for the ones I’ve found. Of course, you can usually subscribe to the print magazine on their website.

Car Action Magazine Online offers: free RC Car Action Insider e-Newsletter, the Table of Contents for the print magazine Car Action, RC ViewTube, RC Games, Pit Tips, Getting Started in RC, and more.

RC Car Magazine has Features (articles) with good pictures, Tech Questions, and News Flashes.

RC Driver has online articles, forums, wallpaper, and RC terms.

Radio Control Car Racer, a magazine from the UK, has news, events, and clubs, plus the option to read the site either in English or German.

Xtreme RC Cars has “how to”s, quick tips, videos, wallpapers and more.

RC Racing Websites

I found this fun site last week. A place to upload your RC pictures, or download RC wallpaper for your computer, find or post the location of a track, read RC car articles, or ask a question in the forum. What a great resource! However, this morning the link wasn’t working… Hope it is back up soon.

RCRacing.com has RC news, information, race results and race coverage for RC events all over the nation with special attention to west coast events.

Aluminum RC Car & Truck Parts specializes in precision machined aluminum RC parts for Traxxas, Ofna & Team Associated cars & trucks.

Virtual RC Racing has realistic RC car simulation and is an on-line RC racing community.

And for casual online fun, here’s a free online game – each car has its own capabilities of top speed, cornering, and acceleration, plus you get to pick a track. Sound effects included.

BIG RC cars

The other day I stumbled across Quarter Scale RC cars. Any we’ve talked about before were 1/8, 1/10, 1/14 or 1/18 scale. These ¼ babies are big!

Here’s a collector’s site with lots of info, including pics of vehicles no longer made: Quarterscale Legends.

In Celina, Ohio there’s annual Quarter Scale RC Drag Racing. Over for this year, but there are some videos. In the Tri-Cities area of Washington state, races are in progress now—check out the Washington State Quarter Scale Website.

Quarter Scale Auto Club has an interesting FAQ on these bigger RC cars. Check out this organization's website for more stuff.

Would be fun to watch these, dontcha think?
